Born
on 2nd March 1948 at Lamding, Manipur, he obtained his Master of Arts degree in
Economics from Gauhati University in 1970. He worked in Indian Audit and
Accounts Department of Govt. of India for 15 yrs. He joined Manipur University
in May 1986 and served as Deputy Finance Officer for 11 years and as Finance
Officer for 8 yrs till his retirement on 18th May 2005.
He had his professional training in service rules, Government Accounts, Revenue
and Commercial Audit, parliamentary processes and procedures and University
finances.
He
assumed office as member of MPSC on 19th May 2005.
